The foundation

Zenbu (全部) means: all, all-inclusive or compleet

and it refers to the open character of the foundation.

We are open for all schools of traditional Japanese shakuhachi playing, new music (solo or ensemble) and contemporary music.

The Hijiri Shakuhachi Foundation was created in October 2017 by Sjon van der Tol, Greet van Keulen, Hélène Codjo and Barry Mildner.
